happy anniversary

day late, but yesterday was our anniversary. three years. seems like a lot longer. but..we've been together almost six, so i think that's what i think about more. we didn't do anything. had to clean for bookclub. i made stir fry and we had some wine. maybe one of these days we'll go out....

finally got the fj fixed. no more huge dent/scratch on the driver's side now. now i feel like i can drive it without people thinking i suck at driving and got into some crazy accident! lol

they also washed it inside and out...it needed it BAD. and we got two free car washes for later!

yay for change!

when we cleaned out fil's house, we found one of those popcorn tins about 1/2 full of change. we brought it home and threw all of our change in with it. b and i just went down to the bank to use the sorter (no way in hell am i hand sorting that!) and we got..... $109.22!!! whoo hoo!!!!! it went directly into savings...we're so not fun. lol :)

weekend

My Lindsay is growing up and getting married!! I'm so excited for her :) We had a great time at the batchlorette party. Lots of wine and funny stories. (and a few tears *sniff*).

The best part was that all three college roommates were together again. It's been 3 years (since the day after my wedding) in which we were all together. Crazy, I know. I miss these girls!!

I still have problems posting pictures..no clue what I'm doing wrong. Blogger just must not like me :( Anyway, had a great time and was home by noon on Sunday to spend time with Lexi and Brandon. We got to go swimming at my dad's for a bit before the rains came. Lex enjoyed it a little more this time since I didn't dunk her. LOL :)

salsa, wine and sleep

why is it when you go to bed earlier, you're still just as tired in the morning? actually was in bed by 9:15 (read until 10:15, though) and was dead ass tired this morning!! i fell asleep an hour before i have been! ugh.

on a better note...i'm currently wearing pre-pregnancy Lucky jeans! yee-haw! and they aren't even my "fat" jeans, either. who is stoked?!? :)

we made salsa for the bazillionth time this summer last night. lex watch from her high chair. don't think she enjoyed it much as she only lasted about 10 minutes...long enough for me to cut up an onion and green peppers. i took some pics of her in it...she looks so little! of course, in normal fashion, they're still on the camera :)

tonight i've got to make some scrap pages to go into an album for my bff lindsay. her batchlorette party is tomorrow and i can't wait! of course, it's an overnight, so i'm sad i won't see lex, but i'm excited to be seeing lindsay. and, our other college roommate, jen, whom i haven't seen since my wedding three years ago! (i can't believe next week will be 3 years!) we're staying at a bed and breakfast and going to a couple wineries. i expect nothing less from her since she's my wine-o buddy :)

what a mess

i live in a pig sty. at least i feel like it is right now. we took a long weekend and headed to toronto (ohio, that is), to bring stuff back from my father in law's. let me tell you how much fun that wasn't. our garage is now packed full and my house is in disarray. i can't take it!

of course, we didn't get home until 8pm on sunday and had to unload the truck, so nothing really got put away. i was having anxiety attacks with how messy the house was! then i got a migraine yesterday at work, so it was all i could do to take care of alexia while b mowed. so, nothing got done. :(

ikea was successful...but it was just that much more that we had to bring in and mess up the house with!! oh well...i'm hoping to be able to bust my butt tonight and get stuff cleaned up.

Sweetness

Every couple of weeks I pull down my boxes of pre-pregnancy pants to see if by any chance any fit me. I know I posted two weeks ago that I found a pair of capris (my favorite ones, btw) that fit. I'm proud to say I found another pair of pants that fit me now!! They didn't fit 2 weeks ago! WHOO HOO!!! And these just so happen to be my favorite work pants. :) SCORE!

Now, here's the real question...does the white after Labor Day rule still apply? Cause these are white. If it does, my co-workers are gonna get hella tired of me wearing these puppies! Shit, I haven't worn them since the beginning of last summer because I lost weight and they were too big! Good thing is that I have these same exact pants but in creme/tan/khaki/whatever the hell color it is, so those should fit, too!

Life would be good if I could stop getting these damn migraines, too. Seriously. I had zip, zero, zilch during pregnancy. I've had one the past two days. UGH. I had to miss spinning yesterday due to it. How much does THAT suck?! Cross your fingers we don't make it three days in a row....

Whew

Busy weekend. Went and picked up some new to me furniture from my friend Erin on Saturday. We didn't put it in until yesterday. I think Brandon was ready to hurt me when we were re-arranging! But, it's finally in its spot and I'm loving it.

I was so proud of myself, I put Lex's high chair together all by myself...in between her fussiness. Ugh. Don't know what was wrong with her yesterday. My normally happy-all-the-time baby was not a happy camper yesterday :( My mom seems to think she's teething, but there's no white spots on her gums, I can't feel anything, and her gums aren't swollen. So, who knows. Of course, it was incredibly hard to get her mouth open when I wanted her to!

I'm ready for our short week this week. We're taking off Thursday night for Toronto. We're planning on bringing back all the rest of the stuff from B's dad's house finally. And of course, I'm making an IKEA trip. :) What are the chances that Great Grandma will take care of Miss Lex in the mornings so B and I can sleep in???? Hmmm..... :)

Monday already?

This weekend went WAY too quickly!! I hate that. When I was on maternity leave, they seemed to go forever. Not that I minded at all.

Friday night, we got a late notice invite to the neighbors for dinner, so we headed over and had a great time. I love having fun neighbors!! The nice thing was we were able to put Lexi upstairs and she slept so we didn't have to worry about her fussing and having to go home.

Lexi spent Saturday night with Gram and Pap so Mommy and Daddy could go to a party and stay out past their bedtimes :) It was so nice to not have to worry about her! Funny thing was that B didn't even drink once we got there. Apparently, he had too many on the golf course :) At least he wasn't one of the drunk-ass husbands who were off their rockers!! LOL :) (And apparently, I like smilies...I've used 3 in 4 sentences....)

Yesterday, B and I drove up to Johnstown and bought a new to us lawn tractor that he found on craigslist. No more borrowing the zero turn from the neighbor (though, I think B's a little sad about that!!). 10:30pm and bedtime creeped up way too quickly....

I need a vacation. My maternity leave did not count as one! I have to go someplace, preferrably out of state!

Shut your mouth

There's only one thing worse than seeing someone chew with their mouth open...hearing them talk with food in their mouth! YUCK. Apparently, my professional setting here at work isn't so professional....
