I have quite a bit to be thankful for this year. I'm so excited to finally see my sister in law, brother in law and nephew who we haven't seen since Christmas last year. Sarah ate Lexi's toes for an incredibly long time last night!! She was so happy to finally meet her niece last night.
We did the usual hitting up Margaret's for beer last night (and let me tell you how much I love getting beer here because it's so CHEAP!) and then hit up the Blue. I could've done without that one as they don't follow the Ohio smoking ban and I smelled so nasty like cigarette smoke. BLECH. But, for the first time in I don't know how long, we were actually out until after 2 when we worked during the day! LOL
Don't eat too much, enjoy your friends and family and be thankful for all you have. I know I will.

Forgot
And it starts now
Today starts the first day of insanity for me. We're both leaving work at 2pm today and heading to Toronto. Coming home Friday and doing Turkey day with mom. Saturday is preparing for a baby shower for Baby J and then Sunday is throwing the actual shower. We've got some good stuff in the works and it's killing Momma Trisha :)
We've been told that December and January will be hell here at work. I'm not looking forward to it. Add in the fact that I have something every single weekend on both Friday and Saturday and have some stuff during the week, and I don't know when I'll have time to pee, let alone see my husband and daughter! We're leaving December 19th for Orlando for our now annual Christmas trip down there. We'll be back on the 24th. I can't wait to go :)
Due to all my commitments, I've been busy putting up Christmas decorations, making gifts, and trying my hand at some craftiness. I took pictures of a few things, I'll have to make sure they make it on the blog. (I've been having issues getting stuff the size it needs to be to post on the blog) Then throw in the random Ohio weather and I keep winding up with migraines which knocks me out of the living world for awhile.
So, we'll see...I kinda can't wait for March to get here.....

Future Me
While sitting here at work procrastinating (I don't do that, do I??), I came upon a site. Ok, it was actually linked on a site I peruse when I procrastinate :) Anyway, this Future Me site is kinda like a time capsule, minus the dirt and such! What you can do is write yourself an email and pick any day out in the future to email it to yourself.
You can say anything you'd like. Remind yourself of the little things. Ask yourself where you are in life. I just did mine. It's scheduled to arrive to my in box in 2013. Crazy to think that far out. I told myself to look at my phone to see if I still have a video of Lexi. We took one of her laughing last night. It's the sweetest thing. I hope I have it in 5 years to put a smile on my face :)
Send one to yourself!

6 month update...finally!
Finally got in for Lexi's 6 month appointment (you know, 10 days shy of her 7 month birthday) today. She didn't do too badly. At least not the blood curdling screams she did at her 4 month appointment! I did find that it's apparent we need to give the girl a mirror when we change her. Just like her Aunt Sarah, she loves to watch herself in the mirror! Girl didn't move once while she laid there as I changed her.
Stats first.
Weight: 16 lbs 11.5 oz (50th percentile)
Height: 27.5 in (80th percentile)
Head: 17.25 in
We had 1 liquid shot which she started crying while taking. Then, two shots in each leg. And she cried even more. :( But momma picked her up right when it was done and all was ok in Lexi's world. (say it together..."awwwwwwww") We have to go back in a month to get a booster of the flu shot she got today. I hate when she has to get them. At least I don't cry along with her!
So, everything is going well with Lexi. She is allowed to start orange veggies, so she'll get some butternut squash that's been sitting in the freezer just waiting for her! We also get to start her on a sippy cup and put a little water in it so she can practice. Yay!! My little girl is growing up!!
No new teeth yet, but I did get to see her first one today as she was crying :) Oh..and while waiting for the nurse to come back for the shots, she went from laying on her belly to sitting up without me helping!!!!!!!!!! YAY!
Next appointment is in February for her 9 month!

I apologize
I've been yelled at for not giving any Lexi updates. Sorry...send me to my room! LOL
Not a whole lot new. This past weekend was horrible. She didn't sleep for more than 30 minutes for naps and she'd be happy one second and crying the next second. We got her some teething tablets and those have seemed to help. Thankfully, she's still my champion night sleeper!
Sunday morning B woke up to see a dog in our yard. He got out the monocular and realized it wasn't a dog...it was a coyote. So he walked his happy ass upstairs, got out his 22 and aimed for the ground next to it. Thankfully, it scared it enough and it ran away!
We should've had some 6 month (and family) pictures done, however work was crazy and so we had to reschedule. So, that's up for Thanksgiving week. Next week she'll finally go in for her 6 month checkup (and shots..poor girl). You know, only 10 days shy of her 7 month birthday. And, no, I'm not a slacker...I made the appointment the day of her 4 month and that was the earliest they could get me in. RIDICULOUS.
I cannot believe Thanksgiving is almost upon us! Two more weeks and all the Martelle's will be together! YAY! I've got a fairly busy schedule from now until Christmas. I just hope I can get everything done that I want to get done. Sunday is shopping with Mom...we're doing our annual girls shopping at Polaris with the Magical Night of Giving. Can't wait!!! We always have a good time (even if we don't win any of the prizes).
Hope you're having a great week! I'll try and get some new pictures up for your viewing pleasure :)
