warm

It was so incredibly nice yesterday that we packed up and headed to the park for a stroll. It felt so good to get outside and walk! We're hoping to do the same tonight as long as it isn't raining!

New foods

I'm trying to give Lexi new foods recently. She's starting to have a lot more table foods now. She got some heart shaped french toast on Valentine's Day and she gobbled it up! The other day, I made a mango/blueberry mix and put it in her yogurt...according to Aunt E, she ate it up in a hurry! so, we decided to try just plain blueberries. Here's how she liked them.....

So big!

Lexi and I went to see Dr Dunlea yesterday afternoon. She said Lexi is doing fabulous! No shots yesterday, so everyone was a happy camper. This visit was a lot different than her 6 month. Amazing how she changes...she didn't mind Dr Dunlea or the nurse at all yesterday and at her 6 month she was scared of them.

On with the stats....

18lb 5.5oz (38%)
28 3/4 inches long (87%)
17.5 inches for her head

So she's still getting taller and her weight is starting to slow. The pedi showed me a chart of her growth and said she'll start getting lots taller and not gain much weight. Especially due to all of her moving and shaking she does! We decided it was time to get the baby gates when she started crawling at warp speed down the downstairs hallway.

We go back for her 1 year appt on May 1st. Hard to believe the next appt is her year! My little baby.... Last night, we also finally got to see Lexi's new BFF, Miss Delaney. She's already trying to pull her hair and pull off her socks! But it was fun to show off what D was going to be doing in a few months time. It'll be fun for the girls when they can start playing together :)

I apologize for the quality of the pics, but they're from my phone...it was all I had when I wanted the pictures! As you can see, we've been working on standing and typing. She's up to 50 wpm already! ha! Anyway, I'll try and get some new ones up soon. We've got the computer back up and running again, so it won't be as hard. I've been getting yelled at for lack of picture updates.....

Pay It Forward

I am taking on a great idea by my friend Sara:
Here are the details + rules:

1. Be one of the first THREE bloggers to leave a comment on this post, which then entitles you to a handmade item from me - something crafty or yummy, who knows?!

2. Winners must post this challenge on their own blog, meaning that you will Pay It Forward, creating a handmade gift -anything!- for the first THREE bloggers who leave a comment on YOUR post about this giveaway!

3. The gift that you send to your 3 Friends can be from any price range and you have 365 days to make/ship your item. This means you should be willing to maintain your blog at least until you receive your gift and have shipped your gifts. And, remember: It’s the Spirit and the Thought That Count!

4. When you receive your gift, please feel free to blog about it, sharing appropriate Linky Love! If you are not one of the Top Three Commenter's on this post, you can still play along. Go ahead and start your own Pay It Forward chain, and encourage your blogging friends to do the same!

SO, REMEMBER... Pay it forward! I can't wait to see who my three commenter's are - and start making their special homemade item. Depending on who it is depends on what the item will be!!

Sick and tired

I'm so sick and tired of being sick. I know why I am...I'm burning the candle at both ends trying to work, keep up a house, spend time with my husband and daughter and have a social life. It's not working. Doesn't help that I'm working 6 days a week. I came in later yesterday so I could sleep in. And while at work, got a monsterous migraine and had to go home early. Couldn't concentrate or do anything :(

Everything has to be done and sent to print by the end of the week here at work....which hopefully means I'll be done with my long days and working weekends. Keep your fingers crossed..... But this weekend will be spent at home with my husband and daughter doing nothing. All.Weekend.Long. (with the exception of a web baby shower for my SIL Kim on Sunday!!)
