I needed to find a quick (and easy!) gift to give my mom for her birthday on Sunday. I have two packs of long notepads that I picked up for cheap and I thought that would be perfect for the lady who has everything! This is probably cheaper than most do for their moms, but she enjoys stuff I make and really just wants to see her granddaughter, so we obliged! :)

I really like how it turned out. I used Smokey Shadow cardstock which I've had for awhile, just never pulled out (why?!?). The ribbon is a super fun technique that Lisa Johnson has posted about. I actually did both the top and bottom of the ribbon (I think she usually only does one side). So easy and fun!

I also had to add a fun pencil in there. I secured it in place with some True Black saddle stitch ribbon that I used on the outside. The pencil was covered in the same dp as on the front of the notepad cover.

I really do like how this turned out. It was super simple and was quick to put together and did it's job of pleasing my mom!

Supplies (all PTI unless noted):
Paper - Smokey Shadow, Stampers Select White, Raspberry Fizz, dp
Ink - Versamark, True Black
Stamps - Polka Dot Basics I, Hero Arts alphabet
Other - True Black Saddle Stitch Ribbon, Pad Paper, Pencil, Mod Podge
