End of the green

Getting tired of all this green? These are my last two cards I made for St Patty's Day. I liked the sewing on the last card, so I continued on this one. I love how the frame stamp is distressed just like the paper is.

Instead of leaving the inside blank, I stamped the circle on the inside lower right corner to add a bit of interest.

This last card shows what really sold me on buying this set. See those lines? Yeah, they use the frame that I used in the above card. Nichole showed this trick during the countdown and I thought it was so cool! I love the mix of New Leaf and Ripe Avocado on the Spring Moss cardstock.

CASE Luck

While figuring out what I wanted to make for some of my cards, I viewed the Design Team gallery to see what all they did. Debbie Olson created this card that I really liked. Very simple, yet packed a punch! Here's my take:

I also felt like I needed some color on the inside and I wanted to add the Lucky phrase, so I put a square in there, stamped Polka Dot Basics down the side and then added the sentiment in New Leaf. The final size of this card is 4x4.

Supplies (all PTI):
Paper - White, New Leaf
Ink - New leaf, Ripe Avocado
Stamps - Luck of the Irish, Polka Dot Basics
Other - Sewing Machine, dimensionals

Happy St Patty's Day!

Happy Green Day! I hope everyone wore a shade of green today so you don't get pinched! :)

I'm continuing on with the Lucky cards today. This one is actually just a little bit bigger than an A2 sized card front for the whole thing. I stitched on the Turning a New Leaf onto the Dark Chocolate and made it cover the whole card, including the back. I stamped the sentiment in Ripe Avocado on a piece of Rustic Cream, cut it and stitched it on. The Shamrock is on Ripe Avocado.

Here's a good shot of both the front and back. To cover up the stitching, I put a piece of Rustic Cream on the inside. It also allowed me to write something on it, too :)

Supplies (all PTI):
Paper - Dark Chocolate, Rustic Cream, Ripe Avocado, turning A New Leaf
Stamps - Luck of the Irish
Other - 1 3/4" circle punch, sewing machine

Lucky

Last month, I bought the Luck of the Irish set and let me tell you how much I love it! Best $5 I've spent in awhile :) I immediately got to work making a bunch of different cards.

These three cards are all the same layout, just slightly changed. The top is a standard 4.25x5.5. The second two were just made with scraps, so they're not as large. All start with a base of Rustic Cream with Ripe Avocado.

On a personal note...to those who received these....thank you. Thank you for being who you are and allowing me in your life. You're the best! ((hugs))
