O Christmas Tree

I bought a Christmas stamp set that Papertrey Ink put out last holiday season, Merry and Bright. There are so many different options with this set and I can't wait to play with it more! I used FTL #55 on this one. I love the twine and scarlet jewel button! I'm still loving my buttons and will have more in my next PTI order! :) eee!

Hopefully my next Christmas post will have even more new stamps. I received my stamps I won over the weekend, so I need to get some time to sit down and play with them!

Supplies (All PTI unless noted):
Paper - Rustic Cream, Scarlet Jewel, Kraft
Ink - Ripe Avocado, Dark Chocolate, Scarlet Jewel
Stamps - Merry and Bright
Other - Rustic Jute twine, Scarlet Jewel Button, Marvy Corner rounder

Merry Christmas!

Yes, I realize it's only August! I am wanting to handmake all my cards this year, so I need to get a head start on them! This is the first one down :) I have some PTI christmas stamps from last year coming to me this week, so I'll be getting busy once those are prepped and ready!

I used FTL #56 for this. I really liked how it turned out. Once I had the idea of what I was going to do, it went pretty quickly! So much easier sometimes when you have a layout (and a few examples) to get one done yourself.

After doing this, I realized that I need more PTI supplies than what are coming in my shipment this week....uh oh! :) The tree stamp is one that I picked up from the Flower Factory for like 89 cents. Can't beat that! Of course, I have no clue who made it.

Supplies (all PTI unless noted):
Paper - Dark Chocolate, Pure Poppy, Stampers Select White
Ink - Ripe Avocado, Pure Poppy, Dark Chocolate, Studio G Orange
Stamps - Christmas Trees ??, Polka Dot Basics, Mega Mixed Messages
Other - Ribbon Scrap Pack Red Ribbon, Marvy Corner Rounder, FTL#56

Purple Flowers

Surprisingly enough, one color I don't use a whole lot in my cards is purple. Did you know it's my favorite color? Lurve it. My wedding was purple :) (and black and silver, but still, purple, nonetheless!) I don't know why I don't use it....I think part is that I don't like the ink I have very well. It's one of the cheapie Studio G inks that are like $1 at JoAnn's.

This card uses FTL #50. I enjoyed this sketch and trying to come up with all the pieces/parts of it! The ribbon didn't photograph well. It's a light shade of purple.

Supplies: (All PTI unless noted)
Paper - Spring Moss, Plum Pudding, Dark Chocolate
Ink - Studio G Purple, Ripe Avocado
Stamps - Inkadinkado Doodle Flower, Little Lady, Mixed Messages
Other - Taylored Expressions Purple Twill Ribbon, Crayola Brown Pencil, 1 in circle punch

You're too kind

These two cards aren't my favorites...they're simple, but they're a little too simple for my liking, I think. I'm not used to only having one layer on my cards. Though, it did make them go together pretty quickly!

This used FTL #46.

I used a white gel pen to draw the rectangle and according to Clean and Simple, it's supposed to add dimension to a one layer card. Eh, still not my favorites!

Supplies: (All PTI unless noted)
Paper - Kraft
Ink - Rasberry Fizz, Pure Poppy, True Black
Stamps - Mega Mixed Messages, Little Lady
Other - white gel pen, ruler

Little Things

You'll be seeing quite a few Thank You cards from here, so I hope you don't get sick of them! My friends were nice enough to give me the money so I could buy my Cricut, the least I could do was make them their own card!

With this one, I just went simple. Which is perfect since I did a challenge for the first time ever! This follows FTL #47 over on Clean and Simple. I love the sentiment and I thought it was perfect with the reason for the card! It's truly the little things in life :)

I don't have a regular scalloped punch, only my Fiskars Threading Water punch. I was able to pull the Rasberry Fizz down far enough so that no one can tell there are holes in each hump! I did actually pop the ladybug up on dimensionals, but I can never get a good enough picture of that. One of these days I'll build a lightbox so I can get better pictures of my cards. Until then, you'll have to deal with it! LOL
