I had to make a masculine sympathy card for a co-worker who lost his grandmother a few weeks ago. I struggle with masculine cards, but I struggle even more when I know it'll be seen by co-workers! I have to do my best so I can impress :)

Supplies used (all PTI unless noted):
Paper - Kraft
Ink - Vintage Cream, Dark Chocolate

with sympathy
I got a new stamp set in my last PTI order last week. I had asked around to see what a good set would be when I wanted some good solid images. This one (Beyond Basics Borders) was one that I kept seeing coming up. I've loved all the cards I've seen with the tree image, so it wasn't a hard sell at all!
I'm loving these colors together as they are so unexpected. And would you guess that dp is actually holiday paper?? Awesome when you can get uses out of paper for more than one season! I stamped the tree on the Plum Pudding and then on the Ripe Avocado scallop and popped it up on dimensionals.

As always, I'm sad when I have to make sympathy cards. I wish there weren't a need for it! But, I just want them to know I'm thinking of them ;)

Sympathies
One of our friends lost her dear grandmother last week. I know she was pretty close to hers and took it pretty rough. It always tears my heart out when someone I know loses a loved one. It's never an easy thing to have to go through.

I typically don't like to send normal sympathy cards. I wanted Jessie to have something cheerful that hopefully helped to brighten her spirits. I did a 4x4 card for her with 1 inch squares (this is where a punch or cricut could've come in handy!). The fun little flower is a Dawn knock-off. I think it's so fun!!! And it's really easy to do, too.
Jessie, I hope that you're able to remember all the good times you had with your grandma. I know you're loving the photos she left behind! Cherish those memories and know she's whooping it up up there with your PapPap!
